Personalized Coaching for Cyclists 40+

You train. You track everything.
Your FTP hasn't moved in months.

ForCyclers pairs you with a real coach who reads your actual data (HRV, TSS, last week's rides) and rebuilds your training around your real schedule. Because at this level, the difference between plateauing and progressing isn't effort. It's a plan that moves around your life, not the other way.

For cyclists 40-55 who train seriously and have stopped seeing results.

Men like you. In their own words.

Three athletes. Three different situations. Same result: they stopped plateauing.

Not another automated plan

Plain language. No jargon.

Most structured training fails busy cyclists because it assumes a perfect week. Your week is never perfect. A coach who reads your real data (sleep scores, HRV, TSS from last Tuesday's ride) can adjust the plan before it breaks you.

We build your training on TrainingPeaks and sync directly with your Garmin or Wahoo. Every session is pre-loaded on your device. You ride, your coach reviews, and the following week's plan is adjusted accordingly.

The focus is on sustainable load progression, not cramming maximum hours into your schedule. Most athletes we work with see their FTP move within 8-10 weeks on 6-9h per week, without burning out or skipping work calls to recover.

We call this the Reverse Curve approach: reduce load first, rebuild on a real baseline, then progress. It's the opposite of what most plateaued cyclists instinctively do. They train harder, train more, then wonder why the FTP test comes back flat.

Three steps. Then you just ride.

No app to figure out. No generic plan to follow. A human process built around your data.

01
Diagnostic session
A 30-minute call to map your schedule, goals, current fitness data, and training history. No template. Every plan starts from scratch based on your actual numbers.
02
Your plan on TrainingPeaks
Your coach builds your first block on TrainingPeaks and syncs every session to your Garmin or Wahoo. You ride. You sync. Your coach sees everything (power, HR, HRV, sleep).
03
Weekly adaptation
Every week, your coach reviews your actual data and adjusts the following week before you even think to ask. Travel, work, fatigue. The plan moves around your life, not the other way.

Who this is for

We work with a specific type of athlete. Be honest with yourself.

Good fit
  • You're 40-55, ride 5-10h per week, and have been doing it seriously for at least 2 years
  • You already use a power meter, Garmin, or Wahoo, and you track your data
  • You've tried TrainerRoad or a generic plan and hit a ceiling
  • Your schedule changes week to week (travel, work, family) and you need a coach who adapts
  • You're willing to invest in your performance the way you invest in your equipment
Not for you
  • You're a beginner who rides less than 3h per week
  • You don't own a power meter or GPS device and aren't planning to
  • You want the maximum suffering plan and have 15+ hours per week to train
  • You're looking for a one-time training plan, not an ongoing coaching relationship
  • You're not open to adjusting your training based on data and coach feedback

FTP gain
Michael had used TrainerRoad for two years and stopped seeing results. He was riding 10-12 hours a week and felt exhausted without getting faster. The issue wasn't effort. It was chronic overreaching with no recovery structure. We rebuilt his training week around 7 hours, introduced polarized zones, and used his Garmin HRV data to decide when to push and when to back off. His FTP went from 240w to 267w in 14 weeks. He completed his first gran fondo in the top 20% of his age group. He told us afterwards: the strangest part wasn't the wattage. It was arriving at the finish with something left. For the first time in two years, it felt like the training was actually working.
